Why aren’t you a “real gamer?”

If you’ve ever been told you’re not a “real gamer,” we’d like to hear what the reasoning was. What were you told? What alleged criteria did you miss the mark on? Did this distinction come down to a specific game you haven’t played or merely just the types of games you do watch/play?
