Hey everyone!
So about a year ago I made plans to go to GaymerX. I’m going as press so I can write about it for FemHype and maybe do some interviews and get some cool news on the con and the guests for the blog. I had my ticket and place to stay all set up, and I was planning to drive my car up the California coast to San Jose during the week-of. Everything was Go until about two weeks ago, when my car broke down.
Now, I have a job, my mom is letting me borrow her car for my work commute, and I am working on my own to pay bills, cover my car repair (eventually), and other Real Life Issues. I’m not asking for help with that. But right now there is absolutely no room in my budget for buying a train or bus ticket to GX3. I already asked for the time off at work months ago, and there’s no way for me to get those work hours rescheduled at this point, so I have a free week whether I go or not. I’d really like to go if I can.
So that’s what this is about. Using my art skills to try and raise about $250 to buy a round-trip train ticket from LA to San Jose. If I buy them soon I can get each way for about $50 to $80 each (they charge you per way rather than as a package). The closer I get to the date (Dec. 10th) the more expensive it will get, that’s why my goal is higher than the estimated total cost. JIC. So hopefully I can raise enough sooner rather than later.
WHAT I’M OFFERING:
$2 500x500 sketches of whatever you want (with the exception of gore and pedophilia).
$5 Full-color face icons (i.e. a 300x300 icon of a character of your choice to use on any social media platform). I can do “my” style (far right, sketch examples), Adventure Time style (middle) and Ghibli style (far left)
